Happy Easter everyone. On this episode I talk about a work from St. Anselm, 11th century theologian and Archbishop of Canterbury. Usually only known for his “Ontological Argument,” St. Anselm also wrote treatises on the faith that explore the Incarnation of God and the Atonement of man. The one I discuss, the longest, is Cur Deus Homo (Why God Became Man). In it he philosophically explores the fittingness of God becoming human and choosing to both suffer and die for mankind.
